Personality: Isai Kensei is portrayed as a much more mature, serious, and decisive individual, though is easily-annoyed and rather temperamental, often to a fault. He's also greatly annoyed at the very concept of immaturity. When not fighting, he has a blunt and slightly aggressive attitude towards everyone, and when he tries to cheer someone up he does it in a manner reminiscent of an army drill sergeant. Isai is also quite analytical when watching a fight.

Appearance:

Isai is a tall, muscular man with sharp features, short light-gray/silver hair and golden eyes. He has a peircing in his left eyebrow. He wears a sleeveless Shinigami uniform and wears white sport wristbands on each hand and wears white bandages over his hands.

History/Background:

Isai was born the youngest son of a Farmer in Bizen, Japan. From a young age Isai was quite agreesive and was shwon to be quite a fighter, Isai was often disrecpected and treated badly but older children but that soon changed until he had had enough of them, one day young Isai ran into the forest and tricked the kids to follow him in. Once they were inside the forest, Isai, picked them off one by one and dragged them away into a cave. Once he had captured all of them, he released one and fought him, Isai won, and then let the kid go, he then did the same to another,and to another until he defeated all the children and made them respect him. They never bothered him after that and he became the leader of that group of boys, and they fought other boys from other Villages in small time unathorized fighting tournaments.

Eventually Isai's father found out about this and decided he was doing no good fighting all the time and that he wouldn't amount to anything from it. So he sent him to live with the Monks high with in the mountains so that they could teach him discipline and self control, and to take the less violent path in life. Instead of teching him all this they only fed his fighting spirit, teaching him Martial Arts as a way to meditate but instead he practiced it as a art of combat, all the chors where interpreted as training and Isai gladly did them as such.

One day Isai was getting water down the mountain and came back to found to find the Temple set on fire and numerous Samurai watching, with the Monks tied up. Isai rushed to their aid fighting the Samurai but he was over powered and killed him on the spot and threw his body down the mountain.

Soon Isai was discovered by Shinigami and he was sent to the soul Society harboring a lot of rage and anger, he wandered Rukongai fighting people hand to hand. He evenually entered Seiretei, he challenged Shinigami proving to be wuite adept at fighting capable of defeating unseated Shinigami by hand to hand combat alone.

During one of his bouts he caught the attention of a High Ranking Shinigami noblemen who mentioned the Shinigami academy. Isai was amused by the thought and decided to join the academy on recommendation of the man who helped him get in. Isai is now going under training to become a Shinigami.
